Chirag Jadeja, 16 at the time, crashed the Smart car into a telegraph pole in Leicester while his eight-year-old brother was in the boot. Jadeja had denied charges, including causing death by dangerous driving. Ranvit Singh who admitted at Birmingham Crown Court to being a passenger has been given a conditional discharge. Abhay Jadeja died from a fractured skull after hitting the frame of the vehicle's boot when it crashed on Gipsy Lane, on 3 July 2012. Parking boast Defendant Jadeja, now 18, was found guilty of aggravated vehicle taking, causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and causing death by driving whilst unlicensed and being uninsured. He has been given a community order with supervision for 12 months, 280 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for two years.
Singh, 22, admitted aggravated vehicle taking and was given a conditional discharge at the same hearing. The crash happened when Jadeja wanted to show Singh - his sister Jaimina's boyfriend - how well he could park his father's car, a retrial heard last month. CCTV footage showed the car driving off from outside the family home in Harrison Road minutes before it crashed outside the Gipsy Lane Chippery. Earlier, Abhay had been placed in the boot of the two-seater car before Jaimina drove him and Chirag to pick up Singh, who lives nearby. No seatbelts After arriving back at the family home, Jaimina got out of the car and went inside, before the defendant took the wheel. Instead of simply parking the car however, he drove off before crashing minutes later.

Abhay was taken from the scene to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he later died. Singh suffered life-threatening injuries, while the defendant sustained minor injuries.
PC Stuart Bird, of Leicestershire Police's serious collision unit, said no-one was wearing seatbelts when the vehicle crashed at about 36.8mph in a 30mph zone. Driver Jadeja, now 18, had told the court he could not remember anything about the crash. Flash wizard pro.
